At the recent Microsoft Leadership Connection event in New Delhi, Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella pointed directly to our deployment with the Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) as a global benchmark for AI-driven transformation.
Highlighting the critical shift from theoretical AI to tangible operational impact, Mr. Nadella noted:

Bringing over three decades of extensive experience in the North American energy industry, Doreen has held senior leadership roles across the downstream, upstream, mining, power, and utilities sectors.
Most recently, she served as Executive Vice President, Downstream, at Cenovus Energy, where she played a pivotal role in major operational and strategic initiatives, including the integration of Husky Energy’s upgrading and refining assets into Cenovus following the merger.
Prior to her tenure at Cenovus, Doreen was seconded from Suncor Energy to lead Syncrude Canada Ltd. as Managing Director of the joint venture and its top executive officer. Her leadership as Senior Vice President, Maintenance and Reliability, at Suncor was marked by sustainable operational improvements across its oil sands operations.
Earlier in her career, Doreen also held leadership roles at Shell Canada and EPCOR, where she influenced business strategy, operational excellence, safety, and environmental stewardship.
Doreen holds a Bachelor of Chemical Engineering from the University of Toronto and has continued her education with programs at Wharton and Harvard, along with an ICD.D designation from the Rotman School of Management.
Doreen’s strategic vision and deep industry expertise will support ThoughtsWin through its next phase of growth and innovation.

An eventful day unfolded on Friday with a perfect blend of business and celebration. We started with our first summer barbecue meet, but the real excitement came from our leadership meeting with the Technology Partner’s team.

As the day transitioned into a delightful evening barbecue, we had another reason to celebrate – announcing the CDSCO approval from medical authorities in India for our AI modules, SCAIDA DetectCT and SCAIDA BrainCT. It was a day where hard work met joy, innovation met recognition, and our incredible teams shined brightly. What a magical, unforgettable day!
On June 26, 2024, the Vancouver Databricks team hosted an incredible event highlighting the latest features from the 2024 Data and AI Summit. The session focused on advancements in GenAI, Governance, and Data Warehousing, tailored specifically for Vancouver’s needs.
As a Databricks partner, we (ThoughtsWin Systems) were honored to present with our client mlHealth 360 at this session, showcasing their groundbreaking AI product, Scaida. This AI-powered enterprise imaging platform is revolutionizing diagnostic imaging with components like Scaida Flow, an integrated radiology information system; Scaida Detect, an AI diagnostic tool; and Scaida Reporting, a GenAI reporting tool in its beta phase. These innovations address key challenges in the healthcare sector, such as improving diagnostic accuracy, enhancing processing efficiency, and ensuring compliance and security.
Additionally, Vancouver Coastal Health shared valuable insights on utilizing qualitative data from nurses’ notes to enhance health analytics. Their efforts in addressing the underreported burden of alcohol-related incidents in emergency departments were particularly noteworthy. By importing clinical data into the Unity catalog and using LLM tools, they have successfully trained machine learning models to detect new cases previously missed, ultimately improving healthcare services and influencing policy formulation. The event was a resounding success, demonstrating how Databricks and its partners are leading the way in healthcare innovation through strategic use of data science and AI.
